Did Jesus has a wife?

No. There is no biblical evidence that Jesus had a wife.

The New Testament speaks openly about Jesus’ family, His mother, His brothers and sisters, His disciples, and the women who followed and supported His ministry, but it never mentions a wife. If Jesus had been married, especially in the culture of that time, it would be very unusual for all four Gospels and the rest of the New Testament to omit such an important relationship.

Some modern claims suggest that Mary Magdalene was Jesus’ wife, but Scripture never says this. Mary Magdalene was a devoted follower of Jesus and one of the first witnesses of His resurrection (John 20:1–18), but she is never described as His spouse.

Later non-biblical writings sometimes use symbolic or unusual language about Jesus and certain followers, but these writings were produced much later and do not provide reliable evidence that Jesus was married.

The Bible presents Jesus’ mission as unique. He came to reveal the Father, save humanity from sin, die for the world, and rise again (John 3:16–17; Matthew 20:28). His relationship with His people is sometimes symbolically described using marriage imagery, with Christ as the bridegroom and the church as His bride (Ephesians 5:25–27; Revelation 19:7).

So the best biblical conclusion is that Jesus did not have a wife.
