BibleAsk Contribution Score & Badges

Contribution Score & community recognition

BibleAsk thanks members for helpful participation — not for competing or “gaming” the site. Your public Contribution Score reflects how you engage with the community over time.

  • Helpful comments and questions matter most.
  • Reading articles counts lightly; it should not dominate your score.
  • Daily limits prevent abuse and keep things fair for everyone.

Contribution Score

Your Contribution Score is a single number on your profile (and optionally next to your name in comments). It grows when you participate in positive ways — especially comments, questions, and sharing truth with others.

The small number on your profile photo (for example 100) is the same score in short form. Hover it to see your level and full point total.

Scores are logged securely on the server. Points cannot be manipulated from the browser, and duplicate rewards (such as refreshing the same article repeatedly) are blocked.

Levels

Your level title updates automatically as your score grows.

Reading streak

Visiting BibleAsk on consecutive days builds a reading streak on your profile. Streaks earn small daily points and larger bonuses at 7 and 30 days — encouraging steady study without replacing thoughtful comments.

Helpful comments

When a comment is officially marked as helpful, it is counted separately on your profile. This highlights answers that serve the community well, beyond raw comment count.

Fair play

Only logged-in members earn points. Spam, self-likes, and repeated tricks on the same article do not count. Staff can adjust scores if something looks wrong.

Focus on encouraging others, studying Scripture carefully, and sharing with grace — the score will follow genuine service.
