Will Satan impersonate Jesus or possess someone who will?

Satan Impersonate Jesus

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it” (Matthew 24:24-26).

Since the early church, there have been many false christs. But at the very end of time, Satan will impersonate Christ (2 Corinthians 11:14) and he will “exalts himself above all that is called God … so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

To differentiate between the true and false Christ, here are six characteristic that identify the true Christ and His second coming:

1-Christ will remain in the clouds of heaven and will not touch the earth. “Behold, he cometh with clouds…” (Revelation 1:7).

2-Every eye will see Christ. Behold, He is coming … and every eye will see Him” (Revelation 1:7). Men would “see” Jesus “coming in the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 24:30; chs. 16:27; 26:64; Mark 8:38; 14:62; Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7). When Jesus returns, all men will know of it without having to be told.

3-Jesus will come in the glory of the Father. ”For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father” (Matthew 16:27);  “They shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). “He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26).

4-Christ’s coming will be a cataclysmic event and not a secret one. “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27). There will be nothing secret or mysterious about the return of Jesus. Christ’s words leave no room for a secret rapture, for a mystical coming.

5-All the angels will come with Him in the second coming. “For the Son of man shall come … with his angels” (Matthew 16:27). As the cloud nears the earth, Jesus will send His angels, and they will quickly gather together all of the righteous people to go to heaven “And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:31). “the Son of man shall come … and all the holy angels with him” (Matthew 25:31).

6-All the wicked will be destroyed at Christ’s coming. “With the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked” (Isaiah 11:4). “And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth” (Jeremiah 25:33; 2 Thess. 2:8).

In contrast, Satan will appear on earth in diverse places and in secret chambers or even on TV. The Bible has given instruction to believers to not even be curious or hear what he has to say. The Christian should not “go forth” or place himself on enchanted ground and thus be in danger of falling into deception (Matthew 24:26).
