Wendy:
Samjoy asks which verse from the Bible is called the miniature Bible?
Tina:
That’s an interesting question, Samjoy, I would say that as far as the verse goes, I don’t know that there’s usually one set verse, but as far as a book of the Bible, usually the book of Isaiah is called a miniature Bible, and that’s because it has 66 chapters and the Bible has 66 books and just kind of the layout of how Isaiah is written. It’s very similar to from front to and how the Bible is kind of laid out as well.
But if I had to pick a Bible verse that I would say this is kind of the summation of the whole purpose of the Bible. It would probably be the most famous Bible verse, which is John 316, which we know says for God the greatest giver so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him would not perish but have everlasting life.
And really, that’s the whole point of the Bible is that we understand that there is a God, and he did send his son into the world for our Salvation. And if we just believe in him, we can have eternal life. We don’t have to perish. We don’t have to die forever. We can live with him for eternity in heaven.
So I hope that answers your question. I know it’s pretty quick. Which that’s okay with me. But if you have any other thoughts on this, please feel free to let us know. But again, if you want, the only book I know, like I said, is the Book of Isaiah, which it’s really cool to take a look at that if you ever have a chance.
As far as some interesting Bible study, Jay or Wendy, any other thoughts on that?
Jay:
No, that’s my understanding too. But honestly, I would just say the more I read and study the Bible, the more I realize the Gospel is summed up in every book of the Bible amenities. That’s true. I know.
Tina:
Deuteronomy I’m like this book is amazing, but I’m like, no wonder heard Jesus quoted it like three times when he fought with the devil. So that’s a good book. But yes, they’re all good.
