So Maria is asking which Bible versus prove that there is no Holy Trinity. That is an interesting question because the way it’s written is it already giving the answer that it wants to heal here. So I appreciate your question. I think it’s a good question if that’s the frame of mind you’re in is you’re questioning whether or not basically there is a Holy Trinity mentioned in the Bible. Now there is no word Trinity in the Bible that is true. The word Trinity never appears in the Bible. But I do have to say that there are a lot of Bible verses that show that there is a Godhead made of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit because the word Trinity just means three beings grouped together. And I do believe that there are three beings that make up God which is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And these beings, there is some mystery around God. We can’t fully comprehend all that he is because it’s I think beyond a comprehension we will have all of eternity to get to know God and to study who he is as far as him, as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Now as far as what the Bible says, there are many verses that we see all three members of the Godhead in the Bible. And let’s go ahead and start with the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19. Now what Jesus says right before he leaves us is in Matthew 20:18-19 says Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. So here you see Jesus is saying Father, Son, Holy Spirit are to be baptized in the name of. So obviously they all have equal ownership or equal there’s an equality to all three of these numbers because obviously if you’re saying you know the Father, Son and Spirit, all three of them are uniting in this purpose of baptism. Now again there are many other verses like you read in John 14:16-17. And this one is interesting. Go there. John 14:16-17, Jesus is again saying I will pray the Father and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever. And it reads 17 the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it is neither sees him nor knows him, but you know Him for he dwells with you and shall be in you.

So Jesus is commending that this helper or the Holy Spirit is going to be sent from the Father. And Jesus reiterates this again in John 15:26 where he says and when the comforter, he calls the Spirit the comforter, just like Jesus kind of has several names. Jesus is the Son, Jesus is the Prince of peace, the Holy Spirit is the comforter, he’s the helper. And again in John 15:26 he says but when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me, and that me is Jesus. So here again we see the workings of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit altogether working for the Salvation of mankind. There are several other Bible verses and I’ll just quickly read them in two Corinthians 13:14, it says, The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is Paul speaking the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Ephesians one seven again, this is the Apostle Paul where he says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of him.

And we know that the Spirit leads us into all truth. So again, this Spirit is very important as a member of the Godhead. Ephesians, chapter 2:13,18, it says, but now Jesus Christ, who you sometimes are far off, but you who sometimes are far off are made nigh or near in the blood of Christ. For through him you both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. So again, we have access through the Spirit to the Father by the blood of Jesus, all three working together. Now you might say as well. Well, in the Old Testament we don’t really see the Holy Spirit or we don’t see this Father, Son and Holy Spirit concept. And you kind of be right in that. You don’t see it a lot. They usually just talk about the Lord, the Lord God Almighty. There’s not very much mention of the sun, but there is a few mentions of God, the Father, Son and Spirit. And you see those in the book of Psalms. If you go to Psalms chapter two, this is where you see this is a prophetic Psalm about talking about Jesus. And it says Psalms chapter two, and in verse, let’s see, I just lost my spot, I’m sorry about that.
Speaker 1
And it says inverse, let’s see, in verse seven, I apologize. It says, I will declare the decree the Lord has said unto me, Thou art my Son this day have I forgotten thee? So here we see the Lord saying, you are my Son, being the Son of God. So here we see the Father and the Son. And if you go up ahead to Psalms 51 and this is the famous Psalm where David is repenting of his great sin with Bathsheba. And in verse ten he says, those famous words, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. And verse eleven says, Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. So again, we do see the Holy Spirit, we do see the Father, we do see the Son all in the Old Testament as well. So God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And so I don’t see anywhere in the Bible where we can really argue that there is no Trinity as far as there being three members of the Godhead being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So I hope that answers your question.
Speaker 1
Jaya Wendy, do you have anything to add to that?
Speaker 2
No, I have the same conclusion where I’ve gone and when I’ve studied the Bible I’m just blown away how even in the Old Testament you see them there even in Genesis reference of the Holy Spirit over the waters and then you Testament again and again and you hear arguments of okay, well, the Bible was this verse was changed like 200 years after the Bible is written but they might only address like one verse or two verse. And here we’re talking about there’s 10, 20, 30 verses depending on how you look at it. That all seem to say there’s this three part aspect to God three entities, beings. We don’t know what God really is. It’s beyond us who are you to say what God really is and composed of? But the Scriptures say what they say. They say there’s a spirit, they say there’s a father and they say there is a son.
Speaker 1
And I know like you’re saying some people have questioned the verse in one John five, verse seven where it says there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the word and the Holy Ghost. These three are one and some people say, well, that was added but whether it was or not, I don’t believe it. I hope it was that God would not allow his word to be tampered with in that way. But even if it wasn’t, it still coincides in perfect harmony with so much other scripture that it really can’t be negated. So yeah, I definitely agree with what you’re saying there.
