It and maybe we could talk a.

Speaker 2

Little bit more about church.

Speaker 1

What’s been your experience? I think you’ve had some really interesting.

Speaker 2

Experiences about trying to find the right church and eventually you found one that.

Speaker 1

Really made you maybe even to this.

Speaker 2

Day, feel really a part of it.

Speaker 1

What was that for you?

Speaker 3

I think for me, what made me.

Speaker 4

Feel like a part of church was.

Speaker 3

The community and the connection with other people. And it was really when other members.

Speaker 4

In the church reached out to me and sort of gave me a place.

Speaker 3

There, they saw value in me for.

Speaker 4

Their community and really kind of brought me into that.

Speaker 1

And.

Speaker 4

I’m somebody who I like to give with my actions.

Speaker 3

Acts of service are definitely a way that I show love.

Speaker 4

And so for me, having a place to serve really helped me find that.

Speaker 3

Sense and then having that service be.

Speaker 4

Appreciated, that was key for me to feel like I fit in the church.

Speaker 3

And I think that’s a part of it too is understanding what our own love languages are and then the church.

Speaker 4

Community where our natural love language operating that way is then well received by them.

Speaker 5

So for some people, that’s giving gifts, for some people that’s acts of service.

Speaker 2

But I hope if you didn’t get.

Speaker 1

That, you still would have stayed with the church. Right?

Speaker 3

Well, for me, God really called me into the church. And that was another big thing for.

Speaker 4

Me was that I think that the church that I felt most at home.

Speaker 3

At was one that God really clearly called me to.

Speaker 4

I had been praying about where to.

Speaker 3

Go to church and God actually told.

Speaker 5

Me specifically a church in a specific city.

Speaker 3

And I had no connection to that city. I didn’t really know much about it.

Speaker 4

It wasn’t real close to where I was.

Speaker 3

There was this one moment that God.

Speaker 5

Really clearly spoke that to me to.

Speaker 3

Go to that church. And then a couple months later, I.

Speaker 4

Was at an event and I was.

Speaker 3

Talking to someone about what I was.

Speaker 4

Looking for in a church.

Speaker 3

And the interesting thing was that the.

Speaker 4

Person that the gal was speaking to.

Speaker 5

She’S like, I know just the church for you.

Speaker 4

And she said the exact same church. And so that was really weird. So it just really felt very providential.

Speaker 3

And then when I did go, once.

Speaker 4

I worked up the courage to actually.

Speaker 3

Go there because it really was out.

Speaker 4

Of my way, then very soon after that, I was very warmly like, someone actually called me over and was like, you’re an answer to our prayer.

Speaker 5

And I was like, I don’t even know who you are. What are you talking about?

Speaker 4

It was really weird, but.

Speaker 5

It was true. God orchestrated all of this and they prayed the same time I first felt called there.

Speaker 4

So I really do believe and you’re.

Speaker 2

Really active again, you were really involved, and that made a big difference. And I think that’s what kept me.

Speaker 1

In my church was just being able to be actively involved. And to this day, I feel very useful there.
