What did the carnivores eat when they got off the ark?

That’s a really good question, too. When did the carnivore eat when they got off the ark? Well, I mean, they start up a lot of food on the ark to begin with. Most carnivores actually can eat vegetarian food. You could take a lion. People have done it. You could take lions, you could put them on a vegan diet. Most animals, actually, studies have shown, and I’ve seen great videos on this a lot of animals turn to eating meat because they’re not able to get out of the environment, out of vegetables, the nutrients they need. But pre flood, you’re dealing with the Earth in its more perfect state. It wasn’t devastated by the flood, it wasn’t ravaged. So you’re dealing with plants that were much closer to as they were created, and not their DNA hasn’t degenerated over thousands of years. So it was much different back then. So most animals probably were vegan and probably able to do it. And it’s later in time that then God says, okay, you guys now need to eat meat. And that’s why I think you see that around the time of right after the flood, or around the time God said, okay, no, now you can eat meat because now you’re going to need it.

Maybe not just because of shorter plants, but there’s also going to be a lack of nutrition that you’re going to get out of plants relatively.

And I imagine there would have been fish right after the flood.

Speaker 2

Yeah, there would have been fish, too, but not all animals would be able to eat the fish. Right. So that’s also a good question.

Speaker 1

All right, we have Tina back.

Speaker 2

And actually we’re still waiting or seeing her back.

Speaker 1

Not seeing her yet.

Speaker 2

Okay. There’s actually a really interesting thing that was observed, I think, in Australia a few years ago. And what happened was all of a sudden, these parrots or macaws were attacking sheep and killing the sheep, and they’ve never done that before. Right. And what it turned out was the macaws, something happened to the environment that they were not able to get a food they needed, and in order to survive, they were having to eat the livers of the sheep. And as soon as the plant food that they needed was restored, macau or the parrot, it’s quit killing the sheep. So it’s something we observed in modern times of how an animal has adapted and kind of eating meat for a time.
