The Scriptures teach that the Christian has great and amazing privileges in Christ. Let’s look at these blessings:

1-Forgiveness of sins

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit(Acts 2:38).

2-A heavenly inheritance

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, (Ephesians 1:11 also 1 Peter 1:4).

3-An abundant life of purpose

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 also Ecclesiastes 12:13).

4-The ever-abiding presence of God

I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20 also Revelation 3:10).

5-An indescribable inner peace

“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus(Philippians 4:7).

6-Abounding love to others

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints”  (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13).

7-Divine help in prayers

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).

8-Trusting in grace instead of one’s ability

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5)

9-Divine help in resisting temptation

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57)

10-Protection from evil

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

11-Christ is our defense attorney

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1).

12-The Holy Spirit becomes our Helper

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” (John 14:16 also 16:7).

13-God offers help to live a righteous life

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11).

14-God assists in bearing our burdens

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 also Isaiah 42:3).

15-God ensures that our physical necessities will be provided for

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33; Mark 10:29-30).

16-God helps through the holy angels

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation??  (Hebrews 1:14 also Daniel 10:2, 12-13).

17-Divine answers to prayers

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).

18-Healing

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:1-3).

19-Deliverance from pestilence

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence” (Psalm 91:3).

20-God lifts us before our enemies

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” (Psalm 23:5).

The privileges of becoming a Christian are incredible and beyond measure for all those who accept the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior and walk as He walked.
