What are some promises that parents can claim for their children?

The Bible provides the believers with many promises that they can claim when they pray for both the spiritual and physical well being of their children. Here are some of these promises:

“And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31).

“Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the LORD, that your children shall come back to their own border” (Jeremiah 31:16-17).

“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13).

“Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed” (Psalms 112:1-2).

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams” (Isaiah 44:3-4).

“Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord” (Psalm 128:3,4).

“…And will make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the LORD has blessed” (Isaiah 61:8-9).

“The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him” (Proverbs 20:7).

“Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouth speaks lying words, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as [a]pillars sculptured in palace style” (Psalm 144:11-12).

“In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge” (Proverbs 14:26).

“I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them” (Jeremiah 32:39).

“Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time” (Deuteronomy 4:40).

“For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25).
