The Lord in His great mercy placed powerful promises in His Word for the innocent believers to claim as they go to court to solves their legal disputes. The following are some of these comforting messages:

“Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication, to my cause, my God and my Lord. Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me” (Psalm 35:23-24).

“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth,
And will make with them an everlasting covenant”  (Isaiah 61:8).

“Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!’ (Psalm 43:1).

“In the Lord I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”?” (Psalm 11:1).

“Hear a just cause, O Lord, attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. Let my vindication come from Your presence; let Your eyes look on the things that are upright” (Psalm 17:1-2).

“The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed” (Psalm 103:6).

“The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice
In the Holy One of Israel. For the terrible one is brought to nothing, the scornful one is consumed, and all who watch for iniquity are cut off—Who make a man an offender by a word,
and lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate, and turn aside the just by empty words” (Isaiah 29:19-21).

“…He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law” (Isaiah 42:3-4).

“…For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25b).

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17).

“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; no one seeks her “ (Jeremiah 30:17).

“O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life. O Lord, You have seen how I am wronged; judge my case”  (Lamentations 3:58-59).

“… And will not at all acquit the wicked…” (Nahum 1:3b).

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress;
Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer” (Psalm 4:1).

“Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may ]oppress no more” (Psalm 10:17-18).

The Lord can save and will save. His faithful people have nothing to fear. They are not to fix their focus on the power of those who oppress them, but on the power of their Great Savior. For He will strengthen His children and vindicate them before their enemies. Neither evil men nor demons can overcome God’s children ( Isaiah 50:8, 9; Zechariah 3:1, 2).
