There are many factors that play a role in finding out why you are not feeling right in your church. The main way to decide whether you are in the right church is the Biblical support for their statement of beliefs. While all churches claim that they are following the truth, many are not.
The Bible gives us the clear test : “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20). As you compare your church’s beliefs with the law of God and the testimony of prophets, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal whether there is a truth that is being violated by your church. And the Lord promised, “the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). The Lord is faithful to His promise. If the Lord reveals a violation then you need to find another church.
To help you find the right church, the Lord in Revelation 12 and 14 gives its description:
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12).
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).
God’s end time church will keep God’s Ten Commandments, including His true seventh day Sabbath (Exodus 20). And it will also have the testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit, or gift, of prophecy (Revelation 19:10). The Lord will guide your steps to find it.
But if you are in the right church and you’re still feeling discomfort, this could mean that God is convicting you concerning a weakness in your life which you need to bring to Him for complete forgiveness, healing and deliverance. And Jesus promised, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37). He also promised, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7). Jesus came to heal, save, deliver and give total victory to all that come to Him.
