So let’s go ahead and get that question back up here. So, Jam Cool, that’s an interesting that’s a cool name. Jam Cool asks, how do you know when the Book of Revelation is referring to things of the past, the present or the future?

Speaker 2

Well, my friend Jam cool. I love that you’re interested in the book of Revelation. That is by far one of my favorite books of the Bible. I love Daniel Revelation. I love prophecy. And I think that it’s really important when you look at prophecy to really know the rest of the Bible, because honestly, when it comes to the Book of Revelation, you have to know the Old Testament in order to interpret things in the Book of Revelation. You see that throughout the book. Like in the beginning of the book, it says that Jesus is in the midst of seven golden candlesticks. Well, what is that referring to? Well, you need to know the Old Testament because then it’s very obvious. It’s referring to the sanctuary. And you know that there’s a sanctuary in heaven because of Hebrews, chapter eight, verses one and two says that basically Jesus is a high priest up in the sanctuary in the heavens, not built by man, but built by God. And so there’s all sorts of things in the Book of Revelation that you just kind of have to understand in order to base where the timeline is. Because the thing with the Book of Revelation is it is not written in chronological order.

Speaker 2

It kind of does something where it says something, it repeats and enlarges, kind of like the Book of Daniel. Like, if you read Daniel, chapter two, it’s a very quick outline of the nations that would rise. And then Jesus comes in the end, and then you see that again, but with more detail in chapter seven, eight, and then eleven. And so basically, when it comes to the Book of Revelation and figuring out what has happened, what hasn’t happened, you kind of just have to go through each section. Like Revelation two and three are about the seven churches. So is that linear? Well, it appears to be the state of the church from the time of Christ until the coming of Jesus. This is what’s going to happen. And the church, these are kind of phases of the church from that time. And so where are we at, it would appear have we gone through the church of, like, Sardis and these things where it says, like, there’s martyrs that are going to happen and all these things? And based on what we’ve seen in history, it appears that we’re at the last church, which is the church of Leo SIA, which is a church that lukewarm, that thinks that they’re saved, but they’ve grown lukewarm.

Speaker 2

They’re not really 100% for God or for the world. And so God is saying, I stand at the door, knock. I, you know, I want you guys to wake up because I’m coming. And so this is a time where we I really see that in the world around us, you know that we have a lot of Christians that are Christian by name, but not by heart or by love or by action. And so I think it’s very comfortable to be a Christian at this time in our history, at least in this country. And we kind of need to either get hot for God or just get out of the way and let the gospel be shown in the proper light. It should be. And then you go into Revelation, chapter four and five, which talk about the throne, and that’s just more talking about basically the throne. But when you get into six, seven, eight and the rest of it, basically these are different phases of prophecies, like the seven trumpets, the seven seals. The first, it’s the seven seals and it’s the seven trumpets. And then you just kind of have chapter twelve, which is kind of the climax because the Book of Revelation is written chiastically, which means that everything kind of goes up to the centerpiece and then goes down and kind of mirrors what was already said.

Speaker 2

When it talks about chapter twelve, that’s an event that’s already happened because there was already worn heaven. Trying to think how to should we.

Speaker 3

Put up that second related question, since you’re kind of touching on that too?

Speaker 2

Well, before we do that, let me just say this. To know where we’re at, you just kind of need to look at history and the Bible and figure out if this has happened yet or not. So when it comes to the seven trumpets, well, everything’s happened in the seven trumpets except for the last one. When it comes to the seven seals, the six seal has already opened. We’re actually at the time of the 7th seal because everything else before it has occurred.

Speaker 3

And almost consistently whenever there’s seven things, usually somewhere around that six or seven is the build up to the second coming of Christ, right. And by the time you get to number seven, Christ is showing up, right?

Speaker 2

Exactly. And when you look at Revelation 13 talking about the mark of the beast, you kind of need to look at has this occurred? And there are some things in Revelation 13 that have happened and there’s some things that haven’t. And I’d say that’s kind of like the epitome of where we’re at as far as the Book of Revelation is. We’re kind of in the middle of Revelation 13 where there has been this religious power that has persecuted God’s people and in the future will have a national or an enforced line of worship, where if you don’t worship, this thing, it’ll be on a worldwide scale where if you don’t worship the way it says to worship, that will be the death penalty and that will be the last test of God’s, people. And you see God’s true people in Revelation 14. As far as 144,000, I don’t think we’ve seen that yet. And then the rest of the chapter kind of goes into the judgment. And that has not happened to a full extent yet. We haven’t gone to heaven yet, like it says in chapters 21 and 22. So if you want to get more detail, I would say a really great book to read would be the book called Daniel revelation.

Speaker 2

It’s by an author named Uriah Smith. You can actually get a free copy online if you just look at that Daniel and Revelation by your eye. Smith and it would go into detail as far as all the prophecies and all the meanings of things and kind of where we’re at in earth’s history. It was written about 100 years ago, so some things might be you could apply it to today, but it’s pretty accurate. And I’d say it’s a really good read. You.
