God Is Real
God is indeed real because He revealed Himself in His creation, His prophetic Word, His Son Jesus, and finally in the changed lives of millions of people. Let’s examine these facts:
First- God’s creation proves that there is a designer behind all that is designed. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1; Romans 1:20). Second-God’s inspired Word reveals who He is and provides evidences to His divinity. Prophecy is one of these evidences. One third of the Bible is prophecy. The Scriptures has over 1,800 predictions concerning more than 700 separate subjects. Third-God revealed Himself through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22), healed all sickness (Luke 5:15-26), fed thousands of people (Luke 9:12-17), cast out demons (Luke 4:33-37), raised the dead (Luke 7:11-16), and had authority over nature (Luke 8:22-25). He said, “Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father” (John 10:24-38). Even secular history testifies to Christ’s miracles and divinity.
Jesus’ incredible life fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah (Matthew 5:17). His crucifixion is a historical fact and His resurrection was verified by hundreds of witnesses (1 Corinthians 15:6). Fourth-The testimony of millions of people who have been changed by the power of God affirms that God is indeed real and can transform sinners into saints.
People who doubt God’s existence must realize that a belief in atheism takes a great deal more faith than does a belief in God.
