“Capitan”, a German shepherd dog, reportedly ran away from home after its owner, Miguel Guzman, died in 2006. A week later, the Guzman family found the dog sitting by his Master’s grave in central Argentina.
The family says they never brought “Capitan” to the cemetery before he was discovered there.
“Captain” turned up there one day, all on his own, and started wandering all around the cemetery until he eventually found the tomb of his master.
During the day, the dog sometimes has a walk around the cemetery, but always rushes back to the grave. And every day, at six o’clock , “Capitan” lies down on top of the grave, stays there all night.
The family says the dog seldom leaves the site and that he will be there until he dies.
What an amazing story of loyalty and love!
Should we as humans have less loyalty for our Master who gave His life to save us?
Loyalty requires a commitment to someone other than ourselves. Our failure in being loyal really boils down to one thing … selfishness! Do we do our best each day to live in obedience to Christ and to His Word? Are we loyal to Him even when things are going bad in our lives? It is easy to be loyal when the blessings are flowing, but what about when we are in the midst of trials? Despite the challenges we face are we still loyal to the Lord?
