You can help your friend who has been influenced by Homosexuals to the point that he started to think he is gay by the following steps:
1-Show your friend that Scientific Research has proven that there is no such thing as a gay gene. This means that people are not born gay but rather they become gay by learning this behavior and choosing to become homosexual.
Another example of such research are those done in identical twins where one chose to be homosexual and the other heterosexual, showing that people learn to be gay and not by genetics.
2-People learn to be gay by association. Many people who associate with gay people learn to be like them and imitate what they see. So the most important thing to help reverse this situation is by choosing to associate with straight people rather than gay people. “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners” (1 Corinthians 15:33).
3-Your friend needs to see that homosexuality is a sin against God (Leviticus 18:22; 1 Kings 14:24; 15:12; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Timothy 1:8-10). While God forgives our sins, we have to acknowledge that they are wrong and seek forgiveness and grace to change.
4-While the Bible is clear that homosexuality is a sin, the good news is, like any other sin, the Lord not just forgives the repentant sinner but gives him total victory and deliverance from that sin. God will give those that struggle with homosexuality a new heart and a new mind (2 Corinthians 5:17) . “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37). And the believer will say “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
